We are team members of the Imaging and Informatics in Retinopathy of Prematurity (i-ROP) Consortium based at the Casey Eye Institute, Oregon Health & Science University.
The i-ROP Consortium developed an artificial intelligence system, i-ROP Deep Learning, that utilizes an automated vascular severity score to measure disease severity. This system was recently FDA approved as a device for clinical use.
An ROP case-based training program developed by GEN-ROP, in collaboration with i-ROP, is available on the American Academy of Ophthalmology website.
The International Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Council (IPOSC) is dedicated to preventing childhood blindness and ocular misalignment worldwide through international partnerships. We collaborated with IPOSC to host the ROP Africa Symposium 2018 in Cape Town, South Africa with the aim of promoting higher-quality care of ROP through educational and skills-based sessions.
