Meet Dr. Emily Cole

Education

Dr. Cole completed her undergraduate degree at Brown University (B.S., Cell & Molecular Biology).  She completed her MD and MPH degree at Tufts University School of Medicine, where she was also an OCT research fellow at the New England Eye Center. She completed her residency at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary and is currently the Assistant Chief of Service and Global Ophthalmology Fellow at the IEEI.

Research Focus

At the University of Illinois - Chicago, Dr. Cole has had the opportunity to collaborate in research endeavors related to global health, tele-education, and artificial intelligence in ophthalmology.


Her research interests include ocular imaging, applications of global ophthalmology, resident education, and retinopathy of prematurity.
